Edmund makes the leap

KYLE EDMUND cracked his semi-final bogey last night to reach the final of a main ATP tour event for the first time, writes Mike Dickson. The British No 1 will contest the championship match of the £500,000 Grand Prix Hassan in Marrakech, Morocco after taking out France’s former top ten player Richard Gasquet 6-3, 6-4. The 23 year-old (left) had previously lost five semi-finals at the top level — including the Australian Open in January. Edmund said: ‘I was really happy with the way I played. I got the balance right.’
