ZAHA ENSURES PALACE PROFIT

-

WILFRIED ZAHA tormented Brighton’s defenders in the M23 derby, scoring twice in a win that leaves Crystal Palace six points clear of the Premier League’s bottom three.

‘Wilf has been in superb form this season,’ said Palace boss Roy Hodgson. ‘I’m pretty certain that many England managers who will follow me will say it’s a pity he chose (to represent) the Ivory Coast.’

Zaha blasted in the opener after five minutes. It was 2-0 when James Tomkins netted from close range. Zaha added a superb third but Brighton pair Glenn Murray and Jose Izquierdo pulled goals back before half-time. However, Palace held on to seal the win.
