Pose nude for Playboy? What will your father say, Miss McGregor?
PROUD dad Ewan McGregor could be forgiven if he chooses to miss his eldest daughter’s latest modelling assignment.
For 22-year-old Clara McGregor has just revealed she is to appear completely nude in the next issue of Playboy magazine.
Giving her Instagram followers a sneak peek at the risqué shoot, the aspiring model – who is also a promising photographer – can be seen lying naked on a bed, surrounded by luxurious cushions.
In other pictures, she poses provocatively on a velvet sofa, wearing just a white T-shirt, knickers and retro roller-skates, and sitting on an antique dresser in a suede corset.
The images were also shared on the official Playboy Instagram page, which has 6.4 million followers, with the caption: ‘Meet @claramcgregor, 22-year-old Brooklyn resident and NYU grad (not to mention the daughter of movie star Ewan), looking to make a splash behind the camera rather than in front of it.’
The Playboy shoot comes just a few weeks after fashion label Dolce & Gabbana chose her to strut the catwalk in New York. At 5ft 5in, she is shorter than most models but has inherited her film star father’s piercing blue eyes.
The Vogue magazine ‘It Girl’ of 2017, whose mother is French production designer Eve Mavrakis, studied photography at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts but has also hinted she may follow her father into the acting world.
She said last year: ‘I’ve always loved film. Growing up, my parents always showed me movies and I completely fell in love with it. I was also lucky enough to get on to the set of some films and see how it was made behind the camera, and it all became really fascinating to me.’
McGregor, 47, a father of four, is no stranger to stripping off in front of the camera – famously revealing all in several films including Trainspotting, Velvet Goldmine, The Pillow Book and Young Adam, in which he starred with Tilda Swinton.
He previously said: ‘Being naked is something that happens in either end of the day for me and, if you’re lucky, somewhere in the middle as well. And I don’t understand why it’s an issue.’
