Billy Bosch Reserve Swartland Cabernet Franc, South Africa The Cabernet Franc grape is always aromatic and this blackberry-themed wine is no exception. With hedgerow notes and a touch of spice and pipe-smoke, this is a fascinating wine. Pizo Garnacha, Spain The velvetiness and depth of red fruit flavours are staggeringly impressive in this modern Spanish hero. This is not a big wine, nor it is oaky or imposing, but its succulence defies belief. Savvie Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand Cheekily named after the New Zealand slang for its most famous white grape, Sauvignon Blanc, this is a mellow, perfumed wine with a Zen-like calm and a lovely citrus finish. Brio Pinot Grigio, Italy As the name suggests, this wine is bursting with energy. The fruit notes are lip-smacking, with pear and apple tones balanced by crisp acidity.
