Parents’ 43 jobs... before work

-

HARD-PRESSED working parents are grappling with as many as 43 tasks around the home before setting off to work.

A survey has found they can clock up more than ten hours a week on morning chores such as making the beds and helping their children with last-minute homework. The study, by Kellogg’s, also found that 80 per cent of busy parents do not eat enough breakfast and are often ‘hangry’ – hungry and angry – once they get to work.

A Kellogg’s spokesman said: ‘It’s clear parents are packing in a whole additional working day every week.’
