Relief for snorers…and partners
SEVERE snorers – and long-suffering partners – may soon be able to sleep more easily thanks to a tiny ‘respirator’ attached to the nose. The battery-powered device, right, is designed for patients with sleep apnoea, which causes pauses in breathing during sleep and loud snores. Treatment involves wearing a mask attached by tube to an air pump. With the new device, called Airing, users insert a silicone rubber bud into each nostril, turn the device on and tiny ‘microblowers’ deliver oxygen to keep airways open for up to eight hours. fundairing.com

The researchers said make-up on middle-aged women emphasised youthful features, including smooth skin and the size of the eyes and mouth.
