GOT THE SNIFFLES? A JOG WILL HELP YOU FEEL BETTER

-

DOES exercising when you have a cold worsen your symptoms or make it harder to recover? No, according to a study in the journal Medicine And Science In Sports And Exercise.

Researchers from Ball State University in Indiana infected volunteers with a common cold virus.

While one group rested, the other ran on a treadmill for 40 minutes every day for ten days.

Although there was no difference in symptoms or recovery time between the two groups, some of those exercising said they felt better after running.

However, the authors cautioned against exercising if you have flu, a fever or a chest infection.
