True heroism
Your article last week about a parachute jump by a woman whose husband had previously sabotaged her parachute and nearly killed her described the event as ‘the bravest skydive ever’.
I am absolutely positive that members of the British 1st Airborne Division who landed at Arnhem knew that the German troops on the ground below would not be welcoming them with tea and cakes, and I think they have a significantly higher claim on bravery. Gareth Griffith, Blyth, Nottinghamshire
