Fowl confessions of a bottomless MP

The Scottish Mail on Sunday - - News -

BEFORE becoming politicians, some of our MPs had jobs in the real world. For the SNP’s Glasgow East MP David Linden, this involved two years as the Airdrie FC mascot (pictured). ‘I dressed up as a big chicken and was known as Rock the Cock,’ he confessed last week. He got the job because the bottom half of the costume was missing ‘and I was this scrawny, skinny guy from the East End of Glasgow so my own chicken legs fitted in just nicely’. How he got a job as an MP is less clear, but his successor, pictured, is now more decently clad.
