Why MSP Richard took to his heels

The Scottish Mail on Sunday - - News -

SCOTTISH Labour leader Richard Leonard has an unfortunate habit of bouncing on his heels when he becomes agitated in the Holyrood chamber. Even more unfortunate for him, MSPs on Tory and Lib Dem benches have noticed this and have taken to mimicking him by bouncing on their seats in fits of giggles. Labour colleagues are unsure whether to now nickname their leader Tigger, of Winnie the Pooh fame. Of course it could be worse – given the state of the party, they could plump for Eeyore. PEEVED when a Tory MSP denied him an intervention in the Holyrood Brexit debate, Labour firebrand Neil Findlay demanded to know why Tories were afraid of questions from ‘a bricklayer, a used-car salesman and a Liberal Democrat’. At this, the SNP’s Gil Paterson, of Gil Motor Factors, snapped: ‘I don’t sell cars.’ To be fair to bricklayer Mr Findlay, few at Holyrood know what Mr Paterson does outside politics, as nobody yet has worked out what he does inside it.
