Eat my sprouts? I can’t find them!
THERE’S good news for Brussels sprout-haters this Christmas – it will be far easier to sneak them into a plant pot during the festive dinner.
The summer heatwave means much of this year’s crop of sprouts is pea-sized. But supermarkets have found creative ways to deal with the shrinkage, with Waitrose opting to market the vegetable as ‘baby sprouts’ and other retailers describing them as ‘sproutlets’.
Despite their love-them-or-hatethem reputation, more Brussels sprouts are eaten in Britain than anywhere else in Europe.
