Rapist who struck despite ban order

A STRING of offenders have struck while subject to SOPOs.

This week, serial rapist Ranna Singh, pictured, is expected to receive a life sentence for an attack in Glasgow last year while subject to a SOPO banning him from contact with prostitutes.

He was jailed in 2007 for raping a woman at knifepoint in Howwood, Renfrewshire. In 2009, Ryan Yates, 32, knifed a pensioner so he could abuse her grandchildren two hours after police told him they had won a SOPO to restrict his movements.
