Tea... the ideal brew for office time-wasters

NEARLY three in ten Britons offer to make a round of tea only so they can dodge work – with some taking more than 20 minutes to ‘brew up’.

A poll of 2,000 workers found that 29 per cent confessed to taking ‘ages’ to serve up cuppas to colleagues while 17 per cent confessed to going to the loo simply to get a break.

The poll by financial services company Hitachi Capital found that nine in ten workers regularly looked for excuses to dodge work.

The top ‘time-waster’ was gossiping with co-workers, which 55 per cent said they did to escape working.
