DIGESTIVE BITTERS
We all overeat during the festive period – then comes the bloat, tiredness and indigestion. This natural remedy can ease digestion and keep you enjoying the festivities until the early hours. Add a dash or two to your favourite tipple.
Get cracking with this, though – you need to store it for two weeks before drinking for the best effect.
INGREDIENTS
Peel of half a grapefruit 1 tbsp fennel seeds 1 inch of fresh ginger 1 sprig of rosemary 500ml apple cider vinegar
DIRECTIONS
1 Put all the ingredients into a large, sterilised jar. 2 Seal, shake and leave in a dark cupboard for 2 weeks. 3 Strain through a muslin cloth into sterilised bottles. 4 Keeps for three months.
