Driver killed in crash as bus hits bridge on Highland road
A BUS driver has been killed and three passengers seriously injured in a crash in the Highlands.
The 50-year-old man died after a Stagecoach bus travelling from Inverness to Cromarty hit a bridge and overturned on the B9161 near Munlochy on the Black Isle around 5.40pm on Friday.
Three of the nine passengers remain in a serious but stable condition at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, while the others suffered minor injuries. Police have appealed for anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
Meanwhile, a woman has died following a three-vehicle crash in South Lanarkshire.
Mary Logan, 62, from Lanark, was taken to hospital after her Peugeot Bipper van collided with a Ford Focus and a Jeep on the A73 near Thankerton around 4.50pm last Wednesday.
Her death from her injuries was confirmed by police yesterday.
