A day in the life: ‘I go to the gym at 6am every day but only for a short burst. If I haven’t got a breakfast meeting, I’m in the office reasonably early. I do work long hours. I’m probably out two or three nights a week at dinners or receptions.’ Hobbies: Sailing. ‘Any opportunity to get out on the water.’ Advice for budding landlords: ‘Start with the quality of the home. Think about that walk to the station because a lot of renters don’t have a car. Then it’s about service. Be super accessible and service-focused. Make sure you respond very quickly to repairs and listen to what your customers are looking for.’
