Proof that Labour is not fit to run Britain

-

Reports last week outlined why the current incarnation of the Labour Party is not fit to govern this country.

First was the revelation about how independent observers said voting practices in the recent Labour-won by-election in Peterborough were worthy of corrupt former Soviet state Kazakhstan.

Then there was your piece about Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell’s declaration that Britain under Labour would be Communist Cuba’s ‘staunchest ally’, giving it financial and political support.

Labour have form when it comes to accusations of voterigging and intimidation.

But then why should we really be surprised that they like to do business this way?

Ultimately, the hard Left don’t really believe in ballot-box democracy. In their heart of hearts they would prefer the ‘popular’ uprisings that created the 20th Century’s Communist states.

And what have these ‘popular’ uprisings brought? The mass of people just as poor, if not poorer, than before, and fed a diet of lies to keep them ignorant – not to mention the constant threat of imprisonment, or worse, if they disobey the State. C. Dodd, Durham Labour’s victory at the Peterborough by-election – where voters were photographing their ballot papers, a third of the votes were postal and a convicted vote-rigger was involved in the campaign – would be just the beginning of what would happen if we ever elected a Marxist Labour Government.

Expect the voting age to be reduced to 16, online voting scams and widescale social media threats and intimidation, plus the usual postal and proxy fraud. Roy Daniels, Luton Margaret Thatcher was elected as Prime Minister three times to keep the Labour Left out of power because people had had enough of Britain being ‘the basket case of Europe’.

The Labour Party had bankrupted the country by the time they left office in 1979.

So I don’t believe that Jeremy Corbyn, John McDonnell and their ilk will ever lead the country – no matter how poor the Tories are at present. Britain, by nature, is a non-Communist country. As McDonnell spouts his latest pledge to Cuba, he is going in the right way in ensuring the Marxists are crushed again. Gerard Gaunt, Chesterfield Only the most foolhardy or suicidal minority would risk ignoring the barriers and flashing lights at a level crossing. We have seen the inevitable tragedy when some have tried.

Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell have made quite clear their intentions for this country, as reported in The Mail on Sunday and elsewhere. The flashing lights are blinding and the warning bells are deafening. Yet there are still enough voters willing to put their cross against Labour and these men into the driving seat.

Reckless doesn’t even begin to cover it. Alan Sharpe, Melton Mowbray
