SNP carpetbagger doesn’t even know where he is

-

WHAT’S the worst thing that can happen to a political candidate?

Forgetting which constituency you are hoping to represent, in front of dozens of disgruntled locals, must be up there.

But that is what happened to the SNP’s John Nicolson last week at a hustings at Alloa Town Hall, where he told the assembled company how hard he was going to work to deliver for the great constituency of East Dunbartonshire.

Unfortunately for Mr Nicolson, he is not running in East Dunbartonshire – that is the constituency in which he lives and where he was turfed out by voters after two years as an MP in 2017. He is actually standing for Ochil and South Perthshire, which has been ably represented by hardworking Tory Luke Graham.

The good people of Clackmannanshire and Perthshire have a choice – a carpetbagger who does not even know where he is standing, or an energetic public servant utterly committed to the community in which he lives.
