Jimenez urges Wolves’ in-demand boss to stay

- By David Kent

STRIKER Raul Jimenez hopes boss Nuno Espirito Santo will stay at high-flying Wolves.

Molineux boss Nuno is among the favourites to replace Unai Emery at Arsenal after he was sacked on Friday.

Victory over Sheffield United today will guide Wolves to fifth in the Premier League.

Wolves drew 3-3 in Braga on Thursday to qualify from Group K in the Europa League and Jimenez is eager to keep hold of his in-demand boss.

‘There is speculation but we are going to keep working, be the team we want to be and making him better and us better,’ said Jimenez (pictured).

‘He is a very good manager. We all know that and we have been making good things since we got into the Premier League — and when I was not here they won the Championship — we are working well.

‘He is very important for us, every meeting, every time he speaks with us it’s important.’ Another manager who has worked wonders is Blades boss Chris Wilder and he can understand why Nuno is held in such high regard.

‘Nuno has done a fantastic job at Wolves,’ said Wilder.

‘As much as the investment and the outstanding players that they have got, you’ve still got to win games of football. I think that comes down to the manager and what he instils in the players and the way they play. I am a great admirer of him.’
