Boris set for star-studded wedding day
COULD we be seeing Boris Johnson at his first ‘showbiz’ wedding this year... alongside Nigel Farage?
Whispers reach me that Boris’s new BFF, Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo, is secretly engaged to Nigel’s former righthand man George Cottrell – the millionaire aristocrat dubbed ‘Posh George’ who spent eight months in a US prison over a money-laundering scandal.
Last week I revealed that Toff is a chum of Boris’s girlfriend, Carrie Symonds, and that Boris follows the former TV queen of the jungle on social media.
Now my source reports: ‘Toff was skiing last week and her weddings was the hot topic.
‘They have been together since July and she’s been telling friends for a while that they’re going to get married. It will be one of the biggest society weddings of the year.’
There would certainly be an eclectic guest list – apart from Boris and Nigel, showbiz and TV stars would be mixing with Toff’s aristo pals, while George is a friend of Donald Trump.
Toff may have friends in high places but she wasn’t above travelling on public transport to and from the National TV Awards last week. In a move that would surely meet with ex-mayor Boris’s approval, she journeyed to the 02 Arena by Tube and returned on the top deck of a night bus – in her satin ball gown.
