SO WHAT IS A WEATHER BOMB?

-

A WEATHER bomb is formed when the air pressure of a storm drops dramatically within the space of 24 hours – whipping up violent winds as a result. It is an official meteorological term for when the low pressure system pressure falls by 24 millibars in the space of just one day.
