I can reveal that Sandi had been secretly planning a new career working in the film industry for months before stunning viewers – and the show’s bosses at Channel 4 – with her decision to quit The Great British Bake Off last month. The 61-year-old set up a movie production company on November 5, six weeks before her GBBO exit was announced.
