Men over 50 ‘must have the snip – by law’

ALL men over 50 would be forced to get vasectomies at their own cost if an American politician gets her way.

Alabama Democrat Rolanda Hollis proposed the compulsory snip after the state passed laws that made almost all abortions illegal.

She said she introduced her Bill – which would also require men to be sterilised after their third child – to send ‘the message that men should not be legislating what women do with their bodies’ and pointing out that ‘it take two to tangle’.

But she acknowledged that critics would see the move as an ‘outrageous overstep’.

Union, said: ‘Everybody knows that this Bill isn’t going anywhere. But it really does underscore the hypocrisy of Alabama’s legislature.’

The abortion ban has not yet come into force as it is being challenged in the courts.
