Greta pranksters dupe Democrat Sanders
PRANKSTERS from Russia have boasted of tricking veteran US politician Bernie Sanders by posing as Greta Thunberg and offering the climate activist’s support to his presidential campaign.
Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov, who have hoodwinked many high-profile victims around the world, posted a recording of their phone call with the Democrat frontrunner on YouTube. The 78-year-old Senator can be heard offering sage advice to the fake Thunberg when she asked him about Russians. He warned her to guard against being exploited for PR purposes.
‘I think what you don’t want to do is walk in there and get used,’ he says.
The recording also features Sanders nervously agreeing to join singer Billie Eilish and rapper Kanye West in a music video as he chats to the fake Greta and her father, Svante.
After initially praising Greta’s ‘extraordinary role’, Sanders apparently agreed to wear ‘gold jewellery and chains’ in the video featuring ‘expensive cars and girls’.
A representative for Sanders’s campaign refused to comment on the authenticity of the call.
