US treaty should be ripped up

-

The case of Anne Sacoolas – the US woman accused of killing teenager Harry Dunn in Britain by crashing into his motorbike – highlights an extradition treaty with the US that wrongly favours what America wants. The PM should demand this treaty be torn up and rewritten. Keith Robinson, Ashford, Middlesex

I think the issue as to whether Anne Sacoolas has diplomatic immunity can be easily proven. On entry to the UK, she would have produced a passport at Border Control: either a diplomatic passport, if she held diplomatic status, or a civilian passport, if she was the wife of a civilian (or military) intelligence analyst. Border agents would have a record of what was produced. D. Wynn, Polebrook, Northamptonshire
