They thought they had got Kleenex away

-

RAIDERS who broke into a building site ignored expensive tools and equipment and made off with toilet rolls and hand sanitisers instead.

Police revealed yesterday how a gang targeted a washroom on the site to get at the ‘loot’ – in the wake of stocks disappearing from shops.

Essex police were alerted on Friday evening that a vehicle had been driven through a barrier at a site near Chelmsford. It was later traced 30 miles away and officers arrested three men.

In a celebratory tweet, the police said: ‘Officers always get a massive sense of satisfaction when we catch burglars, however we never expected to find this stolen loot in the boot.

‘Stolen items recovered and three arrested all within an hour of it being reported.’

Clearly delighted, they added the hashtag: #ThatsHowWeRoll.
