GOING THE EXTRA 300 MILES

CASTle owner Denice Purdie is making 300-mile round trips to wholesalers to pick up and deliver essentials for her community.

She has also offered to loan her local village shop £20,000 to help maintain stock. Ms Purdie, 51, lives in Castle Toward on the Cowal peninsula in Argyll.
