Poor Lady Rose has to buy her own blooms

-

WHAT’S a single girl to do when she wants some flowers to brighten up her day? Well, buy them herself, of course.

Three months after splitting from The Crown actor Matt Smith, Lily James nipped to a florist near her home in Primrose Hill, North London, to buy a large yellow bouquet and a smaller posy.

Dressed down in a black leather cap, black-rimmed glasses and an oversized coat, Lily – who shot to fame as Lady Rose in Downton Abbey – also stopped off at a jewellers. But having split from Smith, we’re guessing she was shopping for herself once more.

It is the first time the actress, 30, has been snapped in public since she and former Doctor Who star Smith’s five-year romance came to an end.

Their split came amid claims that he had grown close to actress Claire Foy – the pair appeared together in the first two series of The Crown.

Lily, below with Smith before their split, has gone on to star in the BBC1 adaptation of War And Peace and the film Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.
