My road reminder

Further to recent letters about US military personnel driving in Britain, I was in the RAF and was posted to a Nato base in Norway from 1968 to 1971. I started out driving on the wrong side of the road, but luckily I had no accidents. To prevent me making the same mistake, I made a large sign that said ‘DRIVE ON THE RIGHT’ to place over the steering wheel whenever I parked the car. Barry Thomas, Fiskerton, Nottinghamshire
