LET’S HEAR IT FOR OUR AMAZING EVERYDAY HEROES!

TO the volunteers involved in the Dunoon Scrubs Appeal

A massive thank you to the magnificent machinists of Dunoon, Argyll, and their helpers.

The work you are doing sewing scrubs and scrub bags is astounding. You have made more than 150 sets of scrubs so far.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and are grateful to every single one of you. We are so lucky to work and live in this community!

A BIG thank you to the Amey team of janitors, caterers and cleaners at Gleniffer High School, Paisley

You have all been helping to prepare meals and bags of food for vulnerable families in the Paisley area. On Friday they produced more than 2,000 meals and prepared 80 bags for distribution to those in need. Well done.

TO all the volunteers in Caithness involved in funding, making and distributing 3D-printed face visors

I would like to say thank you to so many people who have helped make and distribute 1,600 visors so far to the NHS and other frontline staff in Caithness, Sutherland and Orkney. It’s very important that we thank everybody in Caithness for being so generous.

THANK you to Karla Stewart, Jane Mason, and the Foyers Stores, Inverness-shire

Thank you for helping to keep my husband Ashley safe amid this pandemic.

His immune system is compromised and if he gets the virus he will probably die. So many people have been helping us by delivering essentials. It’s the tiny things that are keeping our community together during Covid-19.

THANK you to my daughter, Julie Lawson, in Inverness

She has voluntarily made more than 1,800 drawstring laundry bags for staff at Raigmore Hospital. Now she is making them for care homes and hospices as well as the prison service, police service and RAF Lossiemouth.

She is a single mother of five who runs a cake business, Cakemamma, but she is always the first to step up when there is a request for help. We are so proud of her and the fantastic work that she is doing to help in Inverness.

Recognise the people whose actions have lifted your spirits by emailing thankyou@mailonsunday.co.uk and attaching a short letter and a picture of both you and your everyday hero. We hope it will cheer you as much as reading your letters have cheered us.
