No common sense

What a joke the transgender issue has become, with your latest revelation being that transgender prisoners have carried out seven sex attacks on women in jail.

Common sense says that we segregate the sexes in some situations – women’s changing rooms, public toilets, and prisons. It is also common sense to register babies as male or female on a birth certificate.

If, for any reason, this needs to be changed, it is common sense to change it officially, and re-register the gender after a medical examination, meeting a set of criteria that constitute an agreed definition of that gender. Terry Payne, Banstead, Surrey
