Best of RHS Chelsea Flower Show

BBC1, 5.50pm Ordinarily at this time of year, gardening lovers would be flocking to the Royal Hospital Chelsea to enjoy the Royal Horticultural Society’s annual flower show.

Coronavirus means that’s not happening, so instead here’s the first in a week-long series of programmes (continuing Mon-Fri, BBC2, 8pm), with Sophie Raworth and Joe Swift (both right with Monty Don, left) presenting from their own back gardens and sharing their favourite moments from the past decade. They’re joined – at least virtually – by Mary Berry, who celebrates a great rose grower, while Gardeners’ World presenter Rachel De Thame shows off her own tulips.

This is also the launch of the BBC RHS People’s Choice Of The Decade, in which you can vote for the single best garden out of all those selected by popular acclaim in each of the past ten years.
