Our disunited kingdom

-

Am I alone in being sick of this ‘fournation’ Covid-19 approach? It is unfair that in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland folk can just do their own thing. We need an elected English Assembly in the North. York or Durham would be suitable.

Mark Anderson,

Middleton St George, County Durham Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland must take financial responsibility for their decisions not to encourage people to go back to work where they can do so safely.

We cannot be asked to carry those who, perhaps for political ideology, do not share the risk we all have to take as we move forward.

We are, after all, ‘all in it together’.

Tony Carmedy,

Navenby, Lincolnshire
