Quake shakes Highland glen
A HIGHLAND glen has been rocked by an earthquake.
The 1.3 magnitude tremor’s epicentre was at Gairloch, in Wester Ross.
It was recorded at 11.08am on Friday with a depth of just over three miles.
‘It was felt, by a few people, at the local radio station in Gairloch, who reported windows rattled and a mic on a boom arm bounced up and down’, said a British Geological Survey spokesman.
He added that one woman went outside as she thought ‘something had hit the house’.
