A House Through Time
BBC2, 9pm David Olusoga returns with his absorbing series, this time tracing the history of a house near Bristol’s docks. Inextricably linked to the slave trade, No 10 Guinea Street was built in 1718 by Captain Edmund Saunders. Olusoga finds evidence of piracy, peril and revenge in a handwritten account of a voyage involving the house’s first full-time resident, sea captain Joseph Smith.
