Alan Carr’s Epic Gameshow ITV, 8.15pm

Does Alan Carr (right) ever have a melancholic moment? If his TV appearances are anything to go by, the answer to that question is a definite ‘no’.

He can always be relied on to raise a smile with viewers too, and he’s sure to do that again via this new series, which offers us a nostalgic trip down memory lane, but with an entertaining twist.

Each week Carr is set to host a classic game show from ITV’s past – The Price Is Right, Take Your Pick, Strike It Lucky and Bullseye have been lined up for future editions, with Play Your Cards Right getting the ball rolling this evening.

The celebrity contestants in the first episode are couples Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, Chris and Rosie Ramsey, Ore Oduba and his wife Portia, and Martine McCutcheon and her husband Jack McManus. ★★★★★
