IS IT A HEART ATTACK?
Someone having a HEART ATTACK is usually conscious and breathing. Symptoms include sudden or persistent pain or discomfort in the chest, which may spread to the arm, neck, jaw, back or stomach; feeling sick, sweaty, light-headed or short of breath; a rapid, weak or irregular pulse.
WHAT TO DO: CALL 999 IMMEDIATELY
Give the casualty a 300mg aspirin tablet to chew if you have one, as it may help to prevent heart damage.
