Zero chance of the virus hitting beaches

Why is there so much uproar about people going to the beach? Beaches are generally large and spacious places. There is almost zero chance Covid-19 can be caught there.

Perhaps our lockdown zealots would also like to know that bathing in the sea improves circulatio­n and increases immune-system function. Indeed, studies have shown that the vitamins, minerals and amino acids in seawater produce antibiotic and antibacter­ial effects that promote immunity.

It just goes to show that the Prime Minister’s hope of people

using common sense is a pipe dream when you see people flocking to various beauty spots where no shops and toilets are available, and of others waiting for two hours to get their fill of fast-food rubbish.
