Higgins heads list of Scots stayaways from new event
SNOOKER: Scots have opted to snub the sport’s first tournament for three months.
The new Championship League will be played behind closed doors from June 1-11 at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes.
But top Scot John Higgins (above), the four-time world champion, former world champion Graeme Dott plus compatriots Alan McManus and Scott Donaldson have all decided not to compete in the event for top-64 players.
Anthony McGill is the sole Scot to enter the tournament, which is also set to feature the likes of Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, Neil Robertson and Mark Allen.
