Lovely photo, Kate. But could you ask them to turn round next time?

THE DUCHESS of Cambridge’s enchanting pictures of her children have made the nation smile during the lockdown.

But the latest release has a modern twist – with Prince George and Princess Charlotte walking away from the camera alongside their father.

Prince William holds a protective umbrella over his two older children as they drop off supplies to elderly neighbours on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

Charlotte, five, dressed in a houndstooth dress from Zara and £12 grey Amaia tights, is carrying a bag of home-made pasta and other food supplies for those unable to leave home during the crisis

Buckingham Palace released the photo- graph yesterday to mark the end of Volunteers’ Week, with a message from the Queen.

The monarch said: ‘It is inspiring to reflect on the many thousands of people, who through their acts of generosity and kindness, have achieved so much for the greater good.

‘I have been following with interest how men and women from around the world, including my own family, have been helping and recognising the vital role of the volunteer.’

The Duchess of Cornwall, as patron of the Royal Voluntary Service, along with the Duchess of Cambridge, Sophie Wessex and the Duchess of Gloucester, has been making regular ‘check in and chat’ calls alongside thousands of NHS Volunteer Responders.

Prince William has been volunteering for Shout85258, the UK’s first 24/7 crisis text service, and last month he and Kate spoke to a number of volunteers to congratulate them on their work.
