We must stand up to bullying China

Your commentary from former Home Office Minister Norman Baker on China last week was brilliant. Regrettably, we are now tied to China because we are fully part of the ‘global economy’, the seeds of which were sown under Margaret Thatcher’s governments. Our manufacturing base was lost.

China and other autocratic states have no respect for human rights, animal welfare and free speech. Their ways must be rejected at all costs.

We must take severe action over China’s appalling human rights record and hatred of democracy. Our Government needs to take the opportunity Brexit provides to grow this country in all aspects without help from them.
