Wage rise an insult to taxpayers
Scottish Government senior managers have been given pay rises of up to 12 per cent.
This insult to taxpayers means civil servants already making an eye-watering £54,487 a year will receive £61,006, and those on £67,148 will be handed £73,935.
The public must remember this at the Holyrood election next year.
Anyone in the UK earning more than £50,000 should pay a virusrelated economic recovery tax of 10 per cent on gross earnings.
This would include the public sector, universities, councils, quangos and charities, and the private and financial sectors where ‘greed is good’. And let’s not forget professional footballers. Clark Cross, Linlithgow, West Lothian
