5 RELAX THE HAMSTRINGS

BEING sedentary may have tightened your hamstrings, causing lower back pain and calf pain. Do this to stretch and relax them.

LIE on your back, raise one leg and place a rolledup towel around the heel. Use the towel to pull the leg towards your face.

GO as far as you can and hold for ten seconds. Push your leg against the towel for five seconds.

RELAX and pull the towel towards you again – slightly further each time. Repeat three times per leg, twice a day.
