Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads

BBC1, 7.30pm Tonight’s amusing monologue sees the excellent Kristin Scott Thomas take on a role originally played by Eileen Atkins in The Hand Of God. She plays Celia, who runs an antique shop and thinks of herself as an expert, especially compared to the barrow boys at Christie’s. But after she buys a smudgy drawing of a finger in a lovely frame, she is forced to question how much she really knows.
