Give our police water cannon

Given the chaos and lawlessness that is rife in most of our cities now – and frequently seen in the countryside and coastal areas, too – is the time not right to dust the cobwebs off Boris Johnson’s mothballed water cannon idea, and issue them to every police force for use in crowd control?
