Police Code Zero: Officer Under Attack

They're the officers who risk their lives to maintain law and order – and all too often are confronted by criminals threatening to injure or even kill them. The series that reveals the shocking incidents in which police are put in danger returns with tragic topicality, after the recent trial in the case of PC Andrew Harper – dragged to his death behind a getaway car last year – resulted in the conviction of his killers for manslaughter.

The opening episode provides a sobering insight into the reality of police duties. In London, PC Nick Morley makes what he expects will be a routine car stop – but then the suspect driver races off in his car, leaving the officer clinging on to the door for dear life.

Elsewhere, PC Mike Davey (right) is with police dog Bacca when they face the terrifying threat of being attacked by a man armed with knives.
