The BBC series They Think It’s All Over may have got there first until its demise in 2006, but Sky One’s comedy sports quiz is now a firmly established fixture of the schedules, having kept us gleefully entertained since 2010. But since last year, fans have had to do without James Corden as host – a combination of his success in the US and coronavirus travel restrictions are keeping him Stateside and out of the hot seat.

No matter, for the brilliant Romesh Ranganathan (right) is taking over for all but two shows of the latest run, with team captains Freddie Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp also presiding for a single episode each. For the opener, Andy Murray will be revealing his mirthful side, joined as guest by presenter Helen Skelton and comedians Rob Beckett and Jimmy Carr.
