Ruby roasts British food

WHEN comedian Ruby Wax moved from her native Illinois in the US to the UK almost 50 years ago, she was baffled by some of our most famous delicacies.

‘When I got here it was a huge disappointment as everything was black and white and it was freezing and they were only eating toad in the hole,’ says Ruby, 67, pictured left appearing on the Sunday Brunch TV show. ‘I didn’t know what these food stuffs were but they looked li like my grandmother in a crust.’
