The Scottish Government has confirmed the temporary NHS Louisa Jordan hospital at the SEC centre in Glasgow (below) will be used as a mass vaccination centre. It is still believed to be in talks with health boards and local authorities to find the most suitable mass vaccination centres. Options include:
▪ Football stadiums
▪ Airports
▪ City centre hubs
▪ Pop-up vaccine venues
▪ Roving units for rural areas
3: GP CLINICS - AND EVEN DRIVE-IN JABS
A small number of Scottish GP surgeries will begin vaccinating within weeks, with more practices joining in on a phased basis.
There’s also talk of drive-through centres for people to get the jab in their cars. In all, it is hoped about 30million people in the UK will be vaccinated in Phase One.
