MID-MARCH PROJECTION:

15 MILLION people in UK, in total, expected to have had first dose – and ought to include all aged over 65 and younger people with serious health conditions.

JANUARY 31: 6 MILLION Number anticipate­d to have been inoculated, including one million vaccinated to date, the 2.5m remaining over-80s and care home residents, plus the remaining 2.5m frontline health and social care workers.

DECEMBER 31: Welsh told they’ll get 22,000 more doses within days. Already 35,335 people in the Principali­ty have had jabs.

DECEMBER 29: Margaret Keenan (the first person in the UK to get the jab) has her second ‘booster’ dose.

DECEMBER 26: Widely reported that the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency is ready to green-light the Oxford vaccine.

DECEMBER 23: Chelsea Pensioners get the vaccine, with D-Day veteran Bob Sullivan, 98, (pictured left) saying: ‘It’s the best early Christmas gift and gives us a spring in our step.’

DECEMBER 15: 100,000 jabs now done. Teams will work on Christmas Day as 100,000 more jabs have already been booked with GPs and in hospitals.

DECEMBER 13: Prof Sarah Gilbert says her Oxford team’s chances of rolling out its vaccine by the year end are ‘pretty high’.

DECEMBER 10: Veteran rocker Marty Wilde, 81, (below) is the first celebrity to get a jab, at Lister Hospital, Stevenage, Hertfordsh­ire, after calling the NHS.

DECEMBER 9: One millionplu­s extra doses of the Pfizer jab to be in Britain within days - a total of four million before Christmas.

APRIL 30: 30 MILLION Predicted across Britain to have had vaccine - including nine million people aged 50 to 59.

FEBRUARY 28: 14 MILLION people in total expected to have got the jab (assuming a rate of 2m vaccinatio­ns a week). This should include everyone aged over 70 and most of the 3.4m aged 65-69.

DECEMBER 30: Milestone announceme­nt as 0xford vaccine is approved, with first jabs to be given on January 4. The 100 million doses ordered will cover the whole nation when added to the supplies available of the earlier Pfizer vaccine.

DECEMBER 27: ‘15m JABS TO FREEDOM’ says Mail on Sunday headline. 944,539 jabs done so far: 786,000 786 000 in i England, 92,188 in Scotland 35,335 in Wales and 31,016 in N Ireland.

DECEMBER 25: 800,000. Boris Johnson (below) reveals that almost this number in the UK have been vaccinated (up from the total of 616,933 five days before, when 521,594 English had been jabbed, 56,676 Scots, 22,595 Welsh and 16,068 in N Ireland).

DECEMBER 20: 500,000. The number of people in the UK that Health Secretary Matt Hancock says he believes have now had a jab.

DECEMBER 14: West Midlands couple Maureen and Gerry Hughes are the first to receive the vaccine in a local surgery as 100 GP clinics begin programme of inoculatio­ns.

DECEMBER 8: V-Day. Margaret Keenan, 90, (above) is the first person in the world to be given a post-trial Pfizer vaccinatio­n. It is injected into her left arm just after 6.30am by a matron at University Hospital Coventry. The Government says it has ordered 40 million doses – enough to vaccinate 20 million people.
